'The Peloponnesus' - A peninsula--part of the Greek coastline and the site of the early Mycenaean civilization and of Sparta] [This is one of a triptych] - Oil on canvas, 18" x 14", Barbara Larner. [ca. 1996]
'The Wonderful Pink Hat' - "This was done in 1965. Holly bought this hat in a second hand store, and reluctantly posed for me several times. Her father carved the frame, which I think adds a lot to the picture."
'Breakfast at Run-away Hill' - "This is an Inn where we stayed at Harbour Island--the farthest island out in the Bahamas. It is two miles long and a half a mile wide. It has the most beautiful beach. And I like the name of the Inn--Runaway Inn. Actually. This is a self-portrait. I wish I were there right now."
'By the Sea' -
"Peonies are my favorite flower. I picked these from my garden and brought them in the house and painted them immediately. I have done several others of the same subject. I love the way they smell, I love they way they look . . . . I love their heavy feeling. In fact, I love peonies." - 'Glass Vase with Peonies'
